Documentarian & Technical Director

Chase Perkins

Chase Perkins is a theatre maker from New Hampshire. He received his BA in Theatre from Plymouth State University with a Focus in Acting and Design/Tech. At Plymouth he found his identity not only as an actor but as a designer, director, writer, and technician. This devised approach to theatre led him to pursue higher education at Dell' Arte International School of Physical Theatre in California. Here he earned his MFA in Ensemble Based Physical Theatre, and learned to implement his entire skill set to create original works of theatre. Chase works onstage and backstage, often at the same time. He was Assistant Technical Director for the Mad River Festival with the Dell' Arte Company, and performed in the Dell' Arte Company's original adaptation of The Snow Queen. Chase has also worked with the Glimmerglass Opera Festival in Stage Operations, and was hired to act opposite goats and chickens in the company's farm yard rendition of Ariadne ouf Naxos. Other companies Chase has performed with include the Swedish theatre company Strand Teatern on multiple devised fairy tale pieces such as Prince Hat, Hansel and Gretel, and Little Red Riding Hood, Spark Theatre and Dance on Colors in Motion, and Fox and Beggar Theatre on The Lonesome Spectacular, various BONK shows, and Tigre Tigre. Cahoot?! Physical Theatre audiences will recognize Chase as Sir Phosphorus from the group's first original piece The Great Calamity Medicine Show, Chumley and Walter Ruskins from A Red Herring, Captain Lark from TRONK: A Journey Home, and various acts from our KABOOM Cabaret.
