Emilia Björk-Perkins is a Swedish-American performer and teaching artist. She did her first performance at the age of 2, when she sang a Swedish folk song standing on top of her grandmothers dinner table. She fell in love with singing and performing that day, and continued to do guest performances at her dad’s concerts during her childhood. Her interest for the stage and the arts grew during her teens when she pursued a high school degree with special focus in theatre and dance. When she was 19, she was accepted into the physical theatre program at Kulturama Institute of the Arts in Stockholm where she was a student from 2012-2014. During her years at Kulturama she co-founded the Swedish company “Teater7”. In 2014 she decided to leave Sweden to pursue higher education in the US. She spent three years at Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre in Blue Lake, California, where she graduated in June 2017. After graduating she started working at Ferndale Repertory Theatre, where she was wearing many hats both as a teaching artist, prop designer and performer. In 2019 she decided to settle down in the Twin Cities, which was becoming the new home of Cahoot?! Physical Theatre. In the recent years, with the Twin Cities as a home base, Emilia has been eager to explore opportunities to perform and teach both in the cities and beyond. Most recent performance credits include: The Great Calamity Medicine Show (Cahoot, 2019), Annie (Main Stage Humboldt, 2019), Colors in Motion (Spark Dance+Theatre, 2020), Prins Hatt Under Jorden (Strandteatern/Cahoot, 2020), Ett Sagospel (Strandteatern/Cahoot, 2021) The Great Calamity Medicine Show 2.0 (Cahoot 2021), Pippi Longstocking, Main Stage Humboldt, 2021) and The Lonesome Spectacular (The Fox and Beggar Theatre, 2022)
