Eric William Jones is an actor, director, musician, and teacher from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After receiving his BA in Theatre from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN, he worked with many theatre companies in the Midwest, including Frank Theater, Walking Shadow Theatre Company, the Milwaukee Entertainment Group, and Milwaukee Cooperative Performance. He served as vice president on the board of directors for Gadfly Theatre Productions, a queer/feminist theatre company in Minneapolis, MN. Eric received his MFA in Ensemble Based Physical Theatre from Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre in Blue Lake, CA in 2018. As a performer, his areas of focus include: musical theatre, mask performance, physical theatre, and interactive and immersive performance. His versatility as a performer has resulted in his performing a wide range of styles and roles, from Rodgers and Hammerstein to Clown, and from “Tartuffe” in Tartuffe to “Prior Walter” in Angels in America. Eric has been teaching theatre to youth for over a decade, and has taught children of all ages – in particular, he is sought as a musical theatre instructor. He’s most recently been teaching musical theatre for Ashland Productions in Maplewood, MN. He also loves theatre games and game mechanics and is developing curriculum for a series of workshops on the theory of gameplay and social well-being.
